Big Ass Fan
Just recently I saw this ad for Big Ass Fans in Elle Décor and I could not help but to burst out laughing. Really?!? Are they serious with that name? It turns out they are serious about the name and their fans. After doing a little research by visiting their web site, www.bigassfans.com, I learned more about Big Ass Fans that I thought possible. The larger-than-life fan is what they call a “serious air flowing machine. Their fan boasts the airflow equivalent of nine standard ceiling fans and can be felt from wall to wall and has a low operating cost. This fan sounds perfect for those warm Georgia nights!
See Jane Work
One of my favorite things about being a designer is the paperwork…No really! Basically, I love the stapling, filing and working on the computer. What makes it even more entertaing is the cute little files, books, folders and lables I have for each client. A girlfriend turned me on to this website See Jane Work and I am totally addicted. It makes office life just more fun!
Camellias
The Camellias bushes are about finished blooming in Georgia. Soon the scorching face of the sun will burn away the beautiful blossoms that decorate the dim winter exterior. So, as tribute to our winter flower, here are some photos I took in my Grandmother Margaret’s Camellia garden.

Also, check out Eddy Ross’s article on Camellias. He has some very beautiful photos of the different varieties of blossoms.
Lang Lang
It’s really amazing how many different kinds of beauty there are in the world. Just last night I witnessed something that was so dazzling it made my hair stand on end. My husband and I attended a concert with the highly-acclaimed pianist Lang Lang and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

The point of the story: Music is a major source of inspiration and motivation for any design work I do. Recently, while working on a nursery, I had Lang Lang blasted over the speakers in my office. The soft yet strong keys are soothing and provide me with the perfect setting to create.
Below are a few rooms I designed while listening to classical music.

Spell is broken….
The spell has been broken, spring has sprung, birds are singing and I am ready to get back to blogging! It has been a crazy two months and I am so thankfully to have things back to normal. Thanks for waiting while I took a break!
