Designed for Cooking in the South

This past year I was extremely honored to be in the cookbook Designed for Cooking in the South. The cookbook holds a special collection of recipes from designers belonging to the respected national organization, American Society of Interior Designers. Attached is a photo from my article that includes my selected recipe. Bon Appetit!

Spoonflower

I know, strange name, right? Spoonflower might have a bizarre name, but this an awesome website for all you fabric hounds out there. The site www.spoonflower.com offers a chance to make your own fabric, or buy unique fabrics created by other people. Overall, the price for this is relatively inexpensive, and the website offers all types of crafty ways to use fabric.

Below are a sample of fabrics offered.

This site gets a huge thumbs-up from this designer!

Big Ass Fan

Just recently I saw this ad for Big Ass Fans in Elle Décor and I could not help but to burst out laughing. Really?!? Are they serious with that name? It turns out they are serious about the name and their fans. After doing a little research by visiting their web site, www.bigassfans.com, I learned more about Big Ass Fans that I thought possible. The larger-than-life fan is what they call a “serious air flowing machine. Their fan boasts the airflow equivalent of nine standard ceiling fans and can be felt from wall to wall and has a low operating cost. This fan sounds perfect for those warm Georgia nights!

See Jane Work

One of my favorite things about being a designer is the paperwork…No really! Basically, I love the stapling, filing and working on the computer. What makes it even more entertaing is the cute little files, books, folders and lables I have for each client. A girlfriend turned me on to this website See Jane Work and I am totally addicted. It makes office life just more fun!

I am so cute! Let me follow you home!
