Camellias

The Camellias bushes are about finished blooming in Georgia. Soon the scorching face of the sun will burn away the beautiful blossoms that decorate the dim winter exterior. So, as tribute to our winter flower, here are some photos I took in my Grandmother Margaret’s Camellia garden.

Also, check out Eddy Ross’s article on Camellias. He has some very beautiful photos of the different varieties of blossoms.

Lang Lang

It’s really amazing how many different kinds of beauty there are in the world. Just last night I witnessed something that was so dazzling it made my hair stand on end. My husband and I attended a concert with the highly-acclaimed pianist Lang Lang and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

The point of the story: Music is a major source of inspiration and motivation for any design work I do. Recently, while working on a nursery, I had Lang Lang blasted over the speakers in my office. The soft yet strong keys are soothing and provide me with the perfect setting to create.

Below are a few rooms I designed while listening to classical music.

A splendid yellow room

Since it almost spring, I can’t help but to be drawn to the happy, sunshine color of yellow. Recently, I found this Hinkley Lightning add in Elle Décor and fell in love with the simple monochromatic sachem of yellow.

Below are some of my favorite yellow fabric’s to work with

Spell is broken….

The spell has been broken, spring has sprung, birds are singing and I am ready to get back to blogging! It has been a crazy two months and I am so thankfully to have things back to normal. Thanks for waiting while I took a break!
